following officers President Rachel Wheeler Vice President Elmer Makay Secretary k Treasurer Hargaret'Nest To start off the new year, we sponsored a hayride together with a cornroast One wagon was slightly faster than due other because a tractor, driven by Fred Van Slyke was pulling it I think that this hayrlde was due most thrilling one we had during our high school years because everyone on the wagons seemed to be enjoying themselv s Once again we enjoyed one of those roller skatins partles which was held that meant that we would be included in the senior high school grades Returning to school in the fall of 1948 we again welcomed a few new comers to our class They were Charles Dombrowskl Helen Durls William Huntley, Leona Richardson Also we noticed that some of our former classmates were missing Marlene H1cks,Robert Jenks and Thoma King At our first class meeting under the supervision of Mr Evanod' we chose the following officers for the coming year President George Carson Vice President Luard Burge Secretary Margaret Nest Treasurer Frnle Glover During that year we s onsored a St Patrlcxs Day Dance It was called the nShamrock Shuffle This was our first what you would call it a success although we did not make very much money on it At tne end of the term we really had a full year ahead of us and this was to be the year in which money was our main goal In 1949 we walked into our homeroom and recognized Mr Griffenwho was to be our class sponsor We did not recognize a few new students until later by learning their names They were Audrey Dodge Joan Glenn, Agnes Long, Robert Meen and Barbara Nieczorxowsal Next we noticed that we had lost quite a few of our former classmates Jerry Callahan Robert Danielson Charles Dombrowski Helen Duris, Jerry Being Juniors was the big year in school Because of this we had to get right down to work and really make good use of those class meet ings every second week At the first class meeting we elected the followlng officers for the coming year President Amelia Grubke Vice President linda Fvans Secretary Donna Young Treasurer Frnie Glover In October we overtook the dutv of selling magazines Our class sold more subscriptions than w re sold in previous years, one thousand sefen dollars and seventy cents The last week in October ave may to the annual Halloween earty out or by the Juniors The entl e Jeartxmk very much olannln ard work for the annual Junior Senior Prom whichuas held at the Kahkwa Club near Erie, on Nay the sixth I tdink everyone will avree hat this nrom was somethln of which we could be verygroud and surely tha time and orcpara ion for it was very freat On Thurs day and Friday ni ht of the following weex, we presented he nlay NArsenlc and Old Lace This was really an accomplishment and w never be forgotten After the play we ventured dovn to Evans' cotta e where a party was held for the entire class Just thlnkl Our report cards read promoted to tae twelfth rade as we walked from school on Ju e second of that year ............ .... . ....... .... . ......H . , . . e . v I r O a N I ' : 1 - n . . , 0 Q . . , - . , . , 3 . .... ....... ....
