Student Council Criticism of the Student Council moni- tor system as well as worthwhile projects' has been displayed by members of the student body- Names such as UStupid Governmentn have also been used tg describe our Council and these are unjust Although the Council has been crit- icised for things it does there are still many worthwhile pro- jects that the Council sponsors and promotes. For example, many of the dances the student body attends and en- JOYS are sponsored, organized, and set up by the Student CounoiL The tennis courts, which many of us enjoy. ,in our spare time as: -well as in phys-ed are? the result of a Stu- dent Council project. A more recent under- 'taking that proved to' be a success was 'the Homecoming last fall which was set up for the students by the Student Council to create enthusiasm as well as a wholesome activity. Another new project of the Council that has just begun is the addition of two more tennis courts which will add addi- tional phys-ed area as well as more recrea- tion. The Student Coun- cil does not undertake these projects for its benefit but for the benefit of the stu- dents and the school. If you have criticisms of the Council or the way it has done some- thing, do not sit by or just talk to a tell friend about it, us by way of the sug- gestion box or some type of written pro- posal. The Council was elected by you to represent you so by all means use the Council and its mem- bers to express your feelings or views. 1 if -gil A Q Q ss ,e. 1, e,e:X,s p,,1s tt-, ,er , ,gl,: .risk ise?fYf iswwmwif 7535 Q i? si - -is if N tm. 2 xg! .:is ag.
