Many hours of practice paid off with a record of eight wins and no losses. Despite keen opposition in many a game, West Snyder proved that she possessed a powerful, co- operative girls' team. The Mounties finished second in the Tri-Valley League with a 4-2 record and had a 12-2 independent standing. Entering District 4 Class B playoffs, the Mounties lost to Norry in the quarter finals. This gave the Mounties a 16-5 log for the campaign. Records were broken this year in numerous areas by the West Snyder team. 1. Most points - 98 against Satillo. 2. Most field goals - 47 against Satillo. 3. Best foul percentage - 21 for 25, 85 per cent against Tuscarora. Best team record - 16-5. Four boys finished in double figures for seasonal averages--Dennis Knepp 12.0, Tony McGlaughlin 13.5, Dale Hackenburg 15.8, Ken L. Wagner 15.9. Graduating this yearwill be co-captains--Dennis Knepp and K.L. Wagner, Barry Arnold, Danny Spaid, and George Hassinger. Re- turning for next year will be letter winners Dale Hackenberg, Doug Kratzer, Ron Will, and Tony McGlaughlin. The J.V.'s compiled8wins--lllosses. Season leaders for the J.V.'s were Mark Zechman, a Fresh- man with 301 points, and Sophomore, Ron Baker, second in scoring and rebounding.

The returning letter- men were Herb Kratzer, Ron Gentzel, Philip Loht, Dave Troup, and Gary Grove. Some very nice performances were turned in by the boys. The highlight of the year came at the ex- pense of Chief Logan when they were handed a 30-15 set-back. The season record showed 4 wins and 10 losses. However, four of the losses were so close that one match made the difference. 77
