SOPHOMORE CLASS OFFICERS AND ADVISGRS Seated: Larry Ewing, Presidentg Julia Ettinger, Secretary, Peggy Neidig, Treasurer, James Goss, Vice dent. Standing: Advisors, Mr. Haight, Mr. Fogel, Miss Waha, Miss Sadosuk. The Sophomore class started the 1958-59 school term with 80 members and four ad visorsg Miss Sadosuk, Mr. Fogel, Miss Waha, and Mr. Haight. From the Sophomore group four class officers had been elected in the spring of 1958. The first project the class undertook was carried out at the Beaver Community Fair. They operated a refreshment stand where ice cream, rnilkshakes, and hoagies were sold. They also had an amusing game called Hector and a ping pong throw. These things proved very profitable even though there was very rainy weather during most of the fair. In October the Sophomores sponsored the second annual Halloween dance, called the Spook Hop. The entire student body was invited and a most enjoyable time was had by all. In the fall powder blue and black were selected as the class colors. Pennants, hats, and emblems were ordered. The class was well represented in musical activities, clubs, sports, and other organi- zations. It was felt that the class of '61 helped to make this a. successful year at West Snyder, and it is looking forward to an even more successful year in 1959-60. 49 Presi
