Now, for the next umbrella, . . . oopsl, I nearly tripped over this sand dune, oh, for pity's sake, it's Dennis Knepp, trying to get away from the girls, as usual????'? In case you didn't know, Dennis is now a physical education teacher at good old West Snyder High School. Speaking of teachers, there is the former Dolores Zeiber, trying to keep her own children in line, I see. There's Danny Spaid, who is now a physical education teacher. Incidentally, he still chases all the girls. I see Charles Mitchell, Donald Sizer, Kenny Snook, and Norman Yetter examining the new 1969 -Future -ama Jetmobile. Why shou1dn't they, they're all successful mechanics. In fact, Charles works for G. M., Kenny's still employed at Kline's,but now he is the chief mechanic there. Donald and Norman work for successful automotive firms. This next umbrella looks Spic and span. No wonder! The house- wives are assembled here. Helen Bowersox and Lydia Bowersox are happily married, to different men, of course. We hear Barbara Riegle is happily married, also. There's the former Janet Higgins. Who's thatwith her ? Another housewife ? No, it's her husband, Nelson Will. Nelson is now a very prominent machinist at Will and Wagner's Garage. I see the former Jane Spigelmyer and her brood made the trip, also. There's Nellie Lou Rigel, the class's only missionary, trying to learn the hula so she can communicate better with the people of Hawaii. Duck! Wow! Did you see those planes ? I just learned their pilots are Jack Colabine, George Hassinger, and Stanley Dippery. Good going, fellows. There's Mollie Young. Did you know Mollie was stewardess for the presidential party? Isee Kenneth L. Wagner is still running bases, but after all, Ken's profession is professional baseball. See that man with the water wings on? That's the only draftsman from our class, the successful Mr. Max Weader. There's Hobart Baker, who is now a forestry conservationist, eyeing the swayingpalms . . '. that isn't the only thing He's been eyeing since he reached Waikiki. Thomas Snook and Glen Camp are looking for a new product to adapt to the soil on their farms in America. No, Boys! Not the COCONUTS! Here comes the famous electronics engineer, Lynn Baker. As you know, he was a member of our class. Here's another familiar face. It's Joy Knepp, world famous mathe- matician. Whew! Walking along the beach is a long, hot job. I think I'll stop here for a soda. Hi, Jerry, come have a soda with me. CMaybe Jerry Wagner will quote some of his poetry for me.l OH! OH! Be on your best behavior now. I-Iere comes three mem- bers of the Police force, Charles Erb, Marjorie Herbster, and Lewis Straub. I guess our law enforcers get thirsty, too. Once again it's time for me to stroll the beach. What a sight this next umbrella shades! Two salesman, Kenneth C. Wagner and Roger Spickler, are trying to sell one another their new Whatcha'ma'Cal1'it'g3-dSetS- Ken and Rog are doing well for themselves, but Rog still hates girls! ?! And there she goes! Barbara Ocker we mean! Barb is now em- ployed as a test driver for the new 1969 Ford Stratomobile. Do I hear the buzz of hair clippers? Indeed I do! There's Ronald Snook gettingahaircut. For pity's sake, Wayne Balmer is the Barber. Bob Kline and Bob Bailey, two more Barbers, are supervising the job. Pro, Bob, and Wayne have shops of their own. They are very successful I might add. By the way Ron is now involved in extensive road building. There's alot of shop talk going on under this next umbrella. Bonnie Miller and Ilah Spigelmyer are exchanging ideas on new hair styles. Both these girls are now beauticians. I see quite a stylish young lady in the distance. It's Sue Herbster. Sue now models for Future -ama Inc. There's the former Janice Auman. Hey, Jan, how do you like being a telephone operator ? I see Phyllis Herma.n and Delores A. Moyer taking it easy. It's lucky they got their vacations in time for our class trip. They de- serve a rest after working long and hard in the factory. Here's Richard Sizer, a steel tycoon. We won't wake him he looks so peaceful sleeping. There should be two more people for us to meet. Of course, there they are, our only truckers, Kenneth Zechman and Albert Kauffman. Can you imagine, grown men building Sand castles ? Later, we will all get together for a huge banquet . . . Hawaiian style. It truly will be a week of fun and frolic. In fact, we can hardly wait until 1979 . . . we're going to have our 20th. class reunion out of this world! THE END

The ability to acquire a news- paper staff that will get their news in on time. The ability to keep the students away from her pet turtles. An automatic comb-breaker. A new joke book. The ability and good fortune to grow another moustache. Miss Waha The ability to keep house for her future husband. Underclassmen Freshmen The ability to get along with their teachers during their high school years. Sophomores The ability to have good class plays. Juniors All our excess money for their class trip. The entire Senior Class of 1959 leaves its witty remarks to the tired class of 1960. In witness thereof, we do hereunto subscribe our names on this the second day of June, in the year of our Lord, one thousand, nine hundred and fifty-nine. CLASS OF '59 CLASS PROPHECY It is now 1969 and time for the first class reunion of the Class of 1959. The U. S. S. La Lani is about to weigh anchor and disperse its many excited passengers. All are very anxious to reach their des- tination, the Beach of Waikiki, Hawaii. We are first greeted by the President of the United States, namely Donald Renninger, accompanied by his wife, the former Arla Snook, who was on the nursing staff at Geisinger Hospital prior to her marriage. The President and his wife arrived early this morning on the presidentialplane, Combine VIII. The plane was piloted by Barry Arnold and co-piloted by his wife, the former Sandra Schlegel, who is on vacation from her teaching job at West Snyder High School. After I, The Future , receive the traditional leis and kisses, I wander to the beach, and lo and behold! . . . Under the shade of the firstumbrellalfind the class officers. The President, Herb Kratzer, is busy practicing his profession on a stray dog. He's a veternarian, you know. There is our Vice-President, Philip Loht. As you know, he'snowa wrestling coach, and you just can't keep him from showing off his muscles to all the pretty girls. Here we have Nancy Mattern, our Secretary, tooting on her pitch pipe. How do you like being a music teacher, Nancy? Hi, Judy! Judy Lee Gilbert, our Treasurer, and now famous feature writer, is here with her successful secre- tary and best friend, Edith Wray. I hear a lot of noise coming from the next umbrella . . . why, it's the nurses from the Class of '59 and their families. Let's say hello to them, the married ones first, of course. There's the former beside Pat is the former Carol Ritter, oh, yes, there goes the former Kathleen Dean, looks like she's having trouble with the children. Both Carol and Kathleen are employed at Geisinger Hospital in Danville. Here's one of their fellow employees, the former Kay Wangerg and still another one, the former Shirley Kline. Now, let's say hello to the nurses who are still single. Hi, girls, . . . oops! , there they go, Delores J. Moyer, Ann Buffington, and Sarah Heintzelman, chasing those handsome doctors. We did hear that Delores is now employed at Lankenau Hospital, Sarah is head, nurse at Geisinger Hospital, and Ann is now employed at a hospital in Philadelphia. There's one more, there she is now, Arlene Soles. Arlene is quiet busy with her nursing career, too. See you later, girls! KNOW, off to the next umbrellall Here's a happy foursome. Carl Ewing and Carol Lose have been happily married for a number of years. Mary Walter and Park Fultz share their happy and successful experiences. Both couples own large, productive farms. I hear a lot of chatter coming from the next umbrella. No wonder, it seems there is a secretarial convention going on. Let's ta.ke roll call, those present are June Decker, Freda Goss, Janice Markley, Jane Spaide, and Martha Thomas. All of these young ladies are successful in their chosen occupations. 37'
