SOPHOMORE CLASS OFFICERS AND ADVISORS sou ff-r f Seated Anna Marte Bllger Secretary Llnda Young Presldent Fred Romlg V1ce presldent Bonnle Baker Treasurer Standlng Mr Martz Mrs McCardle lvirs Zlmmer man Mr Weller Advlsors The Sophomore Class started the ye ar 1957 58 wlth 92 members and four advlsors Mrs lNIcCardle lwlrs Zlmmerman Nlr Martz, and Mr Weller Avery able group of class offlcers was elected 1n the sprmg In the fall the class was on lts way to a successful year The flrst project for the year was carr1ed out at the Beaver Communlty Falr wherea Skee Ball and a Basketball Stand were operated There was also a refre shme nt stand where clder home made candy, and p1zza ple were sold In sp1te of the bad weather th1s venture proved prohtable Many of the Sophomores won prlzes ln the var1ous exh1b1ts at the falr Thls year the ambltlous Sophomores undertook a spec1al project whlch was the flrst annual Sophomore Halloween Dance Thls dance was for the entlre student body and an enjoyable tlme was had by all Just before Chr 1S tma s the group started selllng jewelry Later 111 the school year several other projects were undertaken The class selected Royal Blue and Whlte as 1ts class colors and ln December ordered emblems, pennants and hats Avery hxgh percentage of Sophomores partlclpated in extra currlcular act1v1t1es such as band choruses sports F H A F F A Sc1ence Club and Hlstory Club The Sophomore Class has accompllshed many thlngs thls year and as parents teachers and frlendswatch 1ts progress they wlll be proud to say Make way for the class of l960I' 44
