JUNIOR CLASS OFFICERS AND ADVISORS Seated Moris Quint Advisor Donald Renninger President Dennis Knepp Vice President Judy Gilbert Treasurer Standing Mr Lepley Mr Peters Advisors In the 1955 56 school ye ar the present class of 59' was for the first time since the con solidationof Beaver Vocationaland McClure High Schools united as an entire class at the Beaver Vocational school building The students from the diffe r ent schools met and made new firm friendships The officers elected this year were as follows Kathleen Dean President Joy Knepp Vice President, Betsy Felker Secretary Nellie Reigle Treasurer With th se people the class was first organized and carried out their f1rst money making projects During the sophomore year Dennis Kne pp was elected President Donald Renninger Vice President Joy Knepp Secretary and Janice Auman Treasurer Projects this year lncluded a bake sale at the Beaver Fair under the supervision of Mr J R Lepley A booth project at the fair again won second place The very successful and the first major informal dance was held at the new s chool of West Snyder The theme was the 'Sock Hop ' A class supper held that year was also successful to a very high degre Now in this the 1957-58 school term it is a very busy and a very active class Many are engaged in varsity sports musical activitie s clubs student council newspaper staff or just plain busy tackling that homework ' Some of the pr oj e c t s we held this year included selling peanuts, candy, cards and stationery, and cla s s suppers. A Back-to-School dance was held in September and was enjoyed by a large percentage of the student body. Everyone looked forward to the class play as this was the first play for this class. The office r s who have done a very capable job of leadership in the past year are Donald Renninger-President, Dennis Knepp-Vice- President, Nancy Mattern-Secretary, and Judy Gilbert-Treasurer. The Advisors particularly are to be thanked for their wonderful co-operation and help these past 3 years. Hats off to Mr. J. R. Lepley, Mr. Merrill Peters, and Mr. Moris Quint. 40
