Dedication We, the class of l956, would like to express our sincere thanks to the school, our parents, and the people of the community who have made possible a better system of education for us. We wish also to express our appreciation to those who have given us excellent advice, whole-hearted co-operation, and liberal contributions which have made our enterprises so highly successful. With this thought in mind, we Wish to dedicate the first volume of g'The Legend to those who have made possible a better educational system in West Snyder County. We wish, also, to leave in our memory a memorial which will express our gratitude and thankfulness to the people of West Snyder County. Many questions are left un- answered, many problems unsolvedg and many difficulties unresolved. Such are the conditions accompany- ing the transitional period in which we find ourselves. Fortunately, in the face of these distracting forces, our faculty and student body are carrying on admirably well. To those classes and organizations which labor diligently under the present dual system and particular- ly to the Legend Staff and Advisors for preparing this first annual for the West Snyder High School, I of- fer my sincere congratulations. At present all of us are charged with the awesome responsibility of weav- ing into the warp and woof of the new school those desirable ideals and standards which will make it an institution worthy of praise and distinction. To that end I solicit the energies and cooperative support of everyone, so that we can look back upon our labors with a sense of modest pride and a feeling of well done. An industry marks its success by the quality of the products it manufac- tures. The products which we de- sire from the West Snyder Schools are well trained, well adjusted citi- zens. It is my hope that our teaching and training will produce students capable of success in any selected field of endeavor. A man is judged by the company he keeps-may the company of our graduates of today be the leaders of tomorrow.
