Friendship There is a little game that my best friends and I play. Perhaps, you've heard of it or tried it once before. This game involves a great deal of love, sharing, honesty, and trust. When I'm down and out, they pick me up and fill me with contentment. This may not seem like much, but it means so much to me. This is the only game I know that I'm sure I’ll be a winner. You can have wisdom Strength, poise, guidance, assurance — anything you need at any moment and under any circumstance. How? You have the very ability within you as you own personal birthright and heritage. Because of and through this ability in you, you can do anything you need, want, or desire to — easily! Take a few minutes right now to be still and know this for yourself. Relax physically, emotionally, mentally. As you let this idoa take hold in your consciousness, you will find yourself more adequate, confident, and assured than you had thought possible. She is the oldest daughter of Ms. Joan Bailey and sister of Tracey Bailey. Delaine enjoys reading, modeling and playing her flute. In the future, she will be attending Spelmen College, then furthering her education at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology to become an electn cal engineer. Delaine would like to thank her mother for all that she has done to educate her. She says that without her mother constantly on her back, she may not have become the outgoing person that she is. To many, the track team is considered the pride and joy of West Side High. These hard-working athletes strive to bring athletic success along with academic recognition to the school. Each and every week, senior captains Victor Colter and Angela Hill led the Riders into competition. Victor was the premier hurdler in the City and County throughout the year. Angela was one of the better sprinters in the Tri-State area. Throughout her high school career, she set numrous records in the City and County meets along with receiving All-State and All-American honors. Jerry Flounory and Doria Arrington were the co-cap-tains that also had an outstanding year. Teesher Ellis, Andrea Taylor, Chantel Moses, John Wilder and Keith Murray were the other key members of the team.
