DEDICATION TO A FRIEND MRS. DORYCE BRADLEY Mrs. Dorycc Bradley came to West Side High School in September 1971 to serve as security guard. Prior to coming here, she worked as an inspector at a lingerie factory. She has been a mother, grandmother, aunt and friend to all of us. She has always been firm but fair. She has maintained respect from all the students throughout her eight years. A dancing career was part of Mrs. Bradley’s earlier years. She enjoyed dancing in the RKO circuit with Bill Robinson and Buck and Bubbles. She also danced at other theaters and night clubs in the metropolitan area. Unfortunately, she broke her leg in 1946 and had to end her dancing career. She will always remember her last performance at Small’s Paradise in Harlem. After retiring, Mrs. Bradley plans to rest awhile and then do a little traveling. She will, however, come back to visit West Side. She says that she will mostly miss the students whom she calls her family,” and will always remember assisting them to class. Mrs. Bradley, we the graduating class of 1980, wish you the best in your retirement. We take great pride in dedicating this yearbook to you. 8 CLASS OF 1980
