Although their season was not as successful as it was hoped. West Side showed its support by its record-breaking pep rally and its great attendance at the games. Under the leadership of Coach Comick, our school promises to bounce back next year and go down in history as one of Newark’s greatest high school teams. I noticed my high school yearbook and I began to leaf through its pages. Immediately I recalled the good old days at W.S.H.. for ten years have passed, and soon it will be time for our first class reunion. The following report summarizes wlut I observed at the Reunion of the Class of 1977 ten years later: The reunion was held at the fabulous Skylark Hotel in New York City. This magnificent complex was designed by the world’s most prominent architect. Daryl McDougal. The huge Peachtone Room was elegantly decorated by Bonita Mollett, Mary Lou Nelson and Sharon Sneed, three outstanding interior decorators. Making last minute preparations was Sherryl Pettus. assisted by the now-renowned journalist. Debbie Wiggins. Among those to first arrive were Edward Jasper. Andrewncttc Wallkcr. Venus Henderson. Tara Denson. Craig Canzater, Regina Goode. Gwendolyn and Linda Williams and Theresa Thomas, all models of the Jasper School of Modeling, currently preparing to pose for EBONY Magazine. Next, preparing to make a spectacular entrance were Renee Walton, proprietress of the Rene Salon of Beauty and Jerome Gark. famous radio and television broadcaster. Nearby, holding their own conversation were Brunilda Rivera. Twanie Purdie . Charlene Russell, the world's greatest doctors, accompanied by such competent nurses as Roxie Massey, Teresa Ham. Sandra Washington and Henrietta Watson. .Also discussing the latest medical techniques were Donna Boozer and Anthonyette Hunter, world renowned physical therapists. Standing near the door were Sandr3 Pettus. teacher of Special Education and Nurse Norma Lewis who were awaiting the entrance of nationally known singers, Gail 154 Little and Michael Watford, who had just signed a contract with Epic Recording Studios. Lawyers. Allison Spencer and Miguel Soto, have agreed to assist these fine performers in the handling of their legal affairs. Deborah Brooks and Sharon Agee, the tirst women to play on the first professional women’s basketball team. Walking toward this group were Supreme Court stenographer. Dianne Harris and intellectual consultants. Mclvenia Jones and Donna Grier, who arc also medical assistants in the largest hospital in the United States. Mount Golgotha General in Chicago. This magnificent edifice was designed by architects. Nathaniel Thomas and Carmen Scarboro. Also entering from the rear of the banquet hall were social workers. Debra and Denise Colic, followed by the Wilson twins. Valeric and Vanessa, who have just opened an office of business administration with Clifford Webster as their manager. Following them were Michelle Royal, the nationally known oral surgeon and tier dental assistants. Jeanette Bean and Bernice Robinson. Reminiscing about the days at W.S.H. were Michael Davis, a novelist who had just been voted Writer of the Year (1986) by the Book-of-thc-Month Club and Larry Haines, world famous surgeon, who was fabulously attired. Also entering from the rear were the two most outstanding players for the New York Knicks, Jeffrey Harrell and Artis Cratch; Edwin Stubbs, their lawyer, accompanied them. Coming up the aisle were Jacqueline Clemons, prominent international accountant and equally famous business manager, Louise Warren. While everyone was getting rc-aquaintcd. photographers Kenneth Blevins and Thurman Williams were taking pictures of the newest singing duo. David Harris and Cynthia Nash and also of soloist.
