Although we have been faced with many uncertainties during this period, we were strongly pulled through by the guidance, conduct, and interest of our class leaders. It is now that we take pride and pleasure in the acknowledgement of these members of our Senior Class. First, to Sandra Griffin, valedictorian, and to Jo-Ann Williams, saluta-torian, of our graduating class, both of whom have held high acodemic grades throughout their years of West Side High School. Next, we wish to acknowledge Vanessa Baker, President of the Senior Closs, Lenton Vining, Vice-President, and Margie Murrell, Business Manager for their leadership in steering the reins of all the closs affairs. Together, these members of our class put forth an effort to make it one of the best graduating classes ever produced by West Side High School. Finally, we salute Collette Gray, President of the Student Council, who worked collectively with others for a change in the interest of the students. We now applaud ourselves, the Closs of '73, for completing four glorious years at West Side. 3

Talent Search for Youth works feverishly with all high school students anxious to enter college. Dare is one of the drug rehabilitation centers in Newark which tries to help people with drug oddiction problems. As you can see, some members of West Side s student body mode o grond tour of the Dare Center on Littleton Avenue and we also went to the kitchen where some of the Dare members were prepar.ng dinner. 2
