■ MRS. BERNICE EDELCREEK MR. GEORGE WEINSTEIN Senior Advisers The senior year at West Side is full of various activities designed to make the last year exciting and memorable. Without the helpful supervision of advisers these activities would be impossible to plan and carry out. The Class of June, 1962, has been fortunate in having three sympathetic and understanding senior advisers: Mrs. Bernice Edelcreek, Mrs. Pearl Meyer, and Mr. George Weinstein. With their tireless help, the senior class has successfully staged such affairs as the Senior Reception, the Senior Show, and the Prom. They have also supervised the collection of class dues which made these activities possible. Always available for experienced counsel to the members of the senior class, our advisers have been unstinting in their interest and devotion to our class. Mrs. Edelcreek, Mrs. Meyer, and Mr. Weinstein richly deserve the thanks and gratitude of every graduating senior. Our lardworking advisers preparing for the Senior Reception.

To the Class of MR. CHARLES BRODSKY Principal Most of you, tired of the discipline of compulsory formal education, will sigh with relief upon your being graduated from high school. All, however, will cherish the memories of your years at West Side. To those who will continue your formal education in colleges throughout the country, I sincerely hope that we have helped prepare you for a successful college life. To those who will seek employment, I wish you the very best of luck. The employment market is crowded. However, there is always a job for the person with a skill. We have trained your mind as best we could; it is your responsibility now to train your hands so that you have a skill to offer a prospect employer. I sincerely wish all of you Godspeed and success. MR. ROBERT LETT June, 1962... My feelings toward this graduating class are especially warm since we came here together in the fall of 1959. These have been exciting and full years both for you as students and me as principal. I must admit to you now how flattered I have always felt at your rapt attention when I have spoken words of advice to you at our assemblies. Please accept this last bit of advice. You are entering the adult world at a rather wonderful time in history. Scientific advances in space and medicine are coming with increased rapidity. Higher education can be had by all who want it. Jobs are available and employers are anxious for the skills and workmanlike habits you have learned here at West Side. If there are many problems still to be solved, be happy that as a citizen in a democracy you have an opportunity to help your countrymen solve them. Accept the best wishes of all the faculty and myself for a happy, interesting and successful future. CHARLES BRODSKY R. A. LETT Acting Vice Principal
