dedication We, the Class of January 1957. would like to take this opportunity to show our appreciation to our beloved parents. They, together with our teachers, have enhanced our times of happiness and minimized our moments of despair. They have instilled in us high spiritual and moral standards. This book is hereby dedicated to our parents in the hope that it will convey to them our deepest thanks and humble gratitude. 2 Administration Congratulations to the Class of January 1957. You have attained one of life’s big goals. Do not underrate its value. Above all do not overrate it. It is a significant accomplishment which should merely lead on to greater achievements. You should be able to think objectively, dispassionately and with some judgment. You should be planning to read a worth while book every week. These are simple yet important accomplishments. “Quit you like men; be strong! Francis B. Snavely PRINCIPAL Edgar K. Dawson VICE PRINCIPAL Class Advisers Esther Norton Leonard Friedman 5 Helen A. Mr. Grote was technical director for one year with the Little Theatre of East Orange and for three years worked in that capacity with the Blackfriar Theatre of the University of Alabama. The faculty advisers and senior class would like to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to Mr. and Mrs. Grote for their patience, kindness, and help in making the Senior Show a success. Working with them has been one of the happiest experiences of our three years at West Side. mu mm mm m mm mu „ . of January lAVTUAf MOXN HAST tX NMl LEOSASD HUW MAS r n KS h Stlmol Amlitoriiim — Vmrmbn 16 mmd IT. In morning light and evening fall. Through all the days of coming yea In times when glowing futures call— In hearts with laughter and with tears. Our love for you will never die. Oh, Alma Mater, West Side High. Our love for you will never die, Oh, Alma Mater, West Side High. Though we have need to wander far. Close in our hearts your name will be. Your goodness, like a radiant star, Will rise wth every memory. And having these sweet dreams of you, We shall remember and be true. Our love for you will never die. Oh. Alma Mater, West Side High. This love we have for you has grown More bright than any treasured gold. It deepens through each friend we've known. Each truth that to our hearts is told. Within the shelter of your walls, Within the rooms where wisdome calls. Our love for you will never die. Oh, Alma Mater, West Side High. In morning light and evening fall. Through all the days of coming years. In times when glowing futures call, In hearts with laughter and with tears, Our love for you will never die, Oh, Alma Mater, West Side High! Our love for you will never die.
