The Class of January presents... 7 e 195t 25 YEARS 1926 - 1951 25 YEARS 1926 - 1951 We, the Graduating Class of January 1951, dedicate this yearbook to West Side High School, in honor of the 25th anniversary of our school. For a quarter century many students have passed through these portals to become leading citizens of this great nation. It is with regret that we leave our Alma Mater as did our many predecessors. Dear to our hearts we will always hold the memory of the happy years we have spent with our teachers and fellow classmates. Hail and Farewell Graduates: You are leaving us today carrying our stamp of approval. We don't mean by this that we are sure you are a finished product. Rather we look upon you as a product that we have had for only a limited time. We have noted progress in your development. We look at you in wonder at times, fearful of your immaturity and unpreparedness, yet aware of your confidence that you are ready for the life beyond the school portals. We are hopeful that you know you are by no means a finished product. We trust that the work you have done at West Side will win a start for you in your next endeavor, be it work, college, or marriage. If you leave us with an unsatisfied intellectual curiosity, with a willing- 25 YEARS 1926 - 1951 • 25 YEARS 1926 - 1951 • 25 YEARS 1926 - 1951 • Edgar K. Dawson 'VtC - ness to work, with an attitude of responsibility toward your fellow-men and your God, we can be rather content. Your education, formal and extra curricular, is still of high school level. We know you will not be satisfied to remain a “high school kid.” You have a start. Your class rating will tell you how good a start it is. But that is all it is. Your enjoyment of life will depend on your satisfying yourself that you are doing your best in your job. college, home, and church. In all of these things the greatest joy you will get will be from knowing that you are growing. You cannot be satisfied that your are just the man or woman today that you expect to be at 21 or 25. You should expect to grow just as steadily to fifty and over and over. Perhaps growth is life's greatest and most enduring satisfaction— growth in the finer, richer, nobler aspects of living. 5 YEARS 1926 - 1951 • • 25 Anna M. Flanagan j ?tt rffrfenecCa£io t fo We, the Graduating Class of January 1951, wish to express our gratitude and appreciation to our class advisers, Miss Anna Flanagan and Mr. Lewis Prag, for their help in making our senior 6 activities successful and memorable. We shall always remember with deepest affection, the time they have given us in order to make our senior year the happiest in our school careers. 7 Senior 'ityotite IRoow ?eac tesiL CHARLES J.
