K ,E me DAVID E. S AMlDON 1 DEDICA TION. .. WE, the Seniors of the Graduating Class of January l949, are proud to dedicate our yearbook to MR. DAVID E. AMIDON, one of the most beloved teachers ever to have taught in West Side High School. Mr. Amidon was one of the small number of our faculty who have been in West Side since its opening in l9Z6. Mr. Amidon came to West Side as a teacher of Mathe- matics and as Head of the Mathematics Department, His superior knowledge ot his subject and his genial and understanding personalityearned him the respect and loye of the student body. Now, because ot illness, Mr. Amidon is no longer able to be with us here at West Side. We regret hissabsence. c We feel that there is no other person with whom weahave come in Contact during our four years in West Side High School who more richly deserves this dedication. We do, therefore, dedicate this, our Yearbook, to the memory of the long and faithful serviceggiven to the students of West Side High Schooi by Mr. David E.
