We can conquer the art of, drama, music, sports and one other thing that men set out to dog but the greatest of all is to conquer ourselves. We can't accomplish this in one day, or one year, it takes a lifetime. The opportunities in school help us to conquer ourselves well as help prepare a career for each of us This has been a busy and exciting year for me. I've really enjoyed my job as student body president, and being able to associate with a student body such as ours. Our superintendent and faculty have really done a splendid job, and I want to thank them for their cooperation with the student government. I've enjoyed my high school years, and really think we have a wonderful student body and school. ,lay Schvaneveldt Student Body President STUDENT COUNCIL 1954-55 The student council during the school year, has discussed and solved many problems, pertaining to the welfare of our school and student body. We members of the student council have planned and prepared activities to make school, a more interesting and worthwhile experience. Each day brings forth new problems to be solved, and by solving them, we better ourselves. We are continually living and working for the future. School is the best and only way to develope and prepare ourselves for the future. We must take advantage of each day, for each day brings new problems, which developes the individual. The reputation of a school is made by the students of the school. Therefore it takes the cooperation of every student, in order that a school obtains a good reputation. The students elected to lead the student body need the support and cooperation of every student, in order that the student government may function properly. As members of the student council, we wish to thank the students and the faculty for their help and cooperation, because without their support we could not have had a successful year.
