The great metropolis of Union City is swarming with people who are attending the grand opening of the Museum of the Class of 1955. Among the throng is the senior class of a New York high school on their class trip. As they glide down the street to the museum, they pass the Moonglow Bottling Company established by die late D. A. Jefferis. Across the way is the Hofmann Clothing Salon honoring the girls of the freshman classes of all years past, present, and future. At last they reach the ultra-modern museum. At the shining glass entrance they are greet- ed by the guides David Rosey Catton and his wife, Peggy Haselmire. Surprised to find two members of this famous class still living, they are told that Rosey discovered the fountain of youth and shared it with his wife. , In the first room, the class learns many facts about some of the Senior Class members of 1955. These facts are recorded on microfilm and then projected on a screen. Barbara Frazier and Bob Naumann worked together in 2030 to produce square soap bubbles and a waterless wash- ing device. Sam Hunt, the great world photographer, and his assistant, Sharon Hindsley, cover- ed the invasion of the Neptunians in 2055. James Jackson and Dianne Reeves served a term as President and First Lady of the United States. Dianne's famous initials, F.D.R. , were a great drawing for them in the campaign. Donna Grindle gave her life to teaching the three-handed Martians how to play the piano. Carol Birum was known to all the world as the star trumpet player in Bill Wise's all girl orchestra. We find in the next room some articles left to the museum by the famous class members. Professor Lila Faye Rogers left her five comered college cap signifying the five degrees she re- ceived before retiring to be the hostess at T. Texas Weiler's guest ranch. Next they see a dia- mond studded bathing suit and diving helmet belonging to June Wheary who was the founder of U.W. S.C.F.A.W.O.fUnder Water Swimmers Club for Admirals' Wives Only., Even in 3055 the group recognizes the well wom cue stick used by the world champion billiard player, Phil Stilts. A lovely volume of Shakespeare's play Macbeth is on display on the book shelf. It was given by John Murphy and Bob Bosworth who became authorities on Shakespeare after being inspired in the senior literature class. Other books on this shelf are, THE CARE AND FEEDING OF BOY- FRIENDS by Nancy Suittsg John Rogers' HARDY MAN: and THREE BRJDES AND OH BROTHERI written co-operatively by Carol MacDougal, Janice Leaver, and Mary Crawford. The next room is the Union City Hall of Fame for Sports. There stands a silver statue of John Jenkins, the coach who took the triumphant Wildcats to win the State Basketball Tourney for 50 consecutive years. Q Incidentally, the tourney was discontinued because Union City was hog- ging the show everytime.J Bob Willie Williamson, famous fast talking sportscaster, stands with Dick Hecter Byrum who was the world's finest and fairest basketball player. We find in the sunlighted hallway, portraits of Dick Snyder, the engineer who constructed the Earful Tower with tooth picks, and David Hensley, the speedy guy who broke the outer space barrier. Both men have the famous hair style created by Monsieur Was'son, better known as Jason Wasson. Tired and hungry, the people throng to the famous Emma Nelson Fly-In Restaurant which is still standing through the ages. Recipes for dishes like psychologist Kay Donna Smith created are still being used as food for thought. They leave the museum thinking that the increase of life expectancy from 67 to 150 is mar- velous. They look to the future thinking that Union City is a pretty good place to come from. The Imaginative lmps e Il gld f b I CLASS WILL We, the class of 1955, as a whole, will to the Juniors the exclusive rights of the Seniors, to the Sophomores our vim, vigor, and vitality, and to the Freshmen hopes for the future.
