On October I8, the band took first place in the Annual Indiana State Music Association marching contest, held at Speedway City. December 16, the band presented a concert in the school auditorium. President, Larry Brumbaugh, directed one number. April I4, the band presented a contest preview concert. They entered the contest April I8, which was the Indiana State Music Association Organizational Contest. They marched in the annual Memorial Day parade, May 30.
