G. A. A. The Girls' Athletic Association was very active this year. The officers were as following: Christine Brown, president: Fern Durham, vice-presidentg Shirley Lees, secretary: Barbara Hooper, treasurer. Under the leadership of Miss Garnant, the girls had a skating party and had some track and field events. Some of their in-door sports were basketball, volley-ball, and badminton. The girls enjoyed a very successful year. Intramural Again this year, as in previous years, an intramural basketball schedule was carried out for those boys not playing with the Wildcats or Kittens. Bowling Strikes, spares, splits, and misses were all enjoyed as the 1949-50 bowl ing season was opened by our sponsor, Hr. Brumbangh, in the newly built Union City Bowling Alley. The season opened November 8, 1949, with 32 bowlers rolling a 22 game schedule. 'Sure-striken Gail Bretton took the top honors of the league, standing with a 170 average, followed by Robert Hufford holding a. 1148 average. Miss Waltz was hizh for the girls with 133. G. W. B. G.
