We are televising the annual Alumni Banquet of the Union City West Side High School in this, the year 1970 You see seated at the head of the table Richard Earl Wise, Governor of Indiana On his right is Congresswoman Barbara Buckingham of the 10th dis- trict and on the left is Donald Xaltenborn DeCemp The man you see standing behind the palms, talking to the two women, is Maurice Frazier, the author of the current best seller, 'Jokes for 'All' Oc casions' He is discussing the new French styles with designer Dennis Coby and her best seamstress, Phyllis Ellison, The two men in uniform are Colonel Donald Martin and Admiral Gary Snyder They are comparing notes and stories of their exploits The camera is focused on 'Super Salesman Robert Hufford who is selling Noma Dillon a 50-inch television set for her bowling alley She needs some- thing to attract customers because Mary Ann Sanan's skating rink has been taking all the attention of the people She is featuring the heavy weight champion of wrestling, 'Gorgeous' Jack Wilson We regret that bas1cetball's 'Coach of the Year , Terry McCarter, and the Arizona on Sue Hartnick's Dude Ranch recovering from the shock of winning the N I T Championship Now we switch to the opposite side of the room, where Doctor Allie, chief surgeon at Johns Hopkins, is explaining 'the pink corpuscle' to Dentist Donald Ross and Blood Chemist Judy Reish Beside them are two of the lomliest women here They are the famed florist, Joyce Elkenberry, and Indie.na's foremost interior decorator, Mary Wogerman They have been working diligently at planning the marriage settings of Christine Brown and Betty Welch That's Patsy Seibert over there in the corner pounding madly away on her portable typewriter She has to carry lt with her at all times and answer the fan mall of her employer, Keith Mason, who has recently swum the Atlantic Ocean Seated at the end of the table are Judy McGinnis Qwho has Just purchased the 'Yoolworth' storesl and Martha Reier who is employed as head of the Advertising Department The food for this feast was grown on tne one-thousand. acre farm of Weldon Hotmlre It was prepared by Chef Bob Hines Stepping up to our microphone are the stars of the Metropolitan Opera, Yvonne de Welch and accompanist Addy Spicer, who have recently appeared in Anna Hannoy's production of 'What's Left of the Gang Is All Here Nova, 'Most Valuable Player , Don Ashley, are unable to be here.
