BIIIUTS J oyc e Mullen Secretary Joyce likenberry President Donald Martin Vice-President Dennis Coby Treasurer Twelve years lt took us to become Seniors, and this was the busiest and best of them all At the beginning of the year we resumed our studies for the final time and assumed the responsibility of leadership for the year activities. We were well represented on the Yesterner staff, the music department, G. A A., bowling, and various athletics One of our first class projects was the candy sale at the Chili Supper last fall As basketball season approached, we sold red and white schedule pencils The Wildcat roster included three seniors on the squad and the manager We also had several girls in the cheering block, and still other seniors were in the pefp band At the home basketball games we operated the concession stand. In December three seniors attended the annual Purdue Speech Conference. The next class activity was our play, Strgge Qgggggll, which was given in January after several months of rehearsals. All the time we were kept quite busy ordering announcements and exchanging name cards and pictures. In the last winter weeks the Successus staff, with the help of the class, compiled and sold the 1950 yearbook. Spring was ushered in with the class tourney, when our 'Nifty-Fifties' won the consolation game. Later on, several seniors entered essay and speech contests, and others concentrated on the band contests. All the Seniors entertained the Juniors at the annual party given in the gymg then the next month we enjoyed the Reception given in our honor by the Junior Class. The year came to a. wonderful close with Class Day, Baccalaureate, and Commencement as we bid Union High a fond adieu and join its Alumni as the Class of 1950. I Howard Thrall . . .. . Sponsor O
