Beverly Ann Ashley Librarian 1 Girls' Chorus 1, Band 4 Orchestra l, 2, Successus 4 Jr. Class Play 3 Solo-Ensemble l, Mixed Chorus 3, Class Treasurer 1 Class Secretary Westerner 4 We the NCLASS OF '49U find it hard to bid West Side High, bon voyage so soon, because it seems like only yesterday we were taking our first big steps into Kindergarten. Hare at school, with our teachers, were spent some of the happiest moments of our lives, times we will cherish always. Our candy sale at the Chili Supper--our bake sale--our class meetings in the government room, however noisy they might have been--the fun we had at working in the concession stand at the basketball games--the thrill we had in giving a Jr. 6 Sr. class play-- the hard work of putting on a Jr. 8 Sr. dance--the dances we sponsored after ball games--the time we spent working hurriedly on the Successus--the fun we had in ordering our name cards and commencement announcements--making big plans for the Sr. 6 Jr.--and then the relaxation that followed while we sat back and enjoyed the Jr. 8 Sr., knowing and regretting that it would be our last to attend here at West Side--the sadness of Class Day-- worrying over final exams--Baccalaureate Services--and finally came the Commencement Exercises, an event we shall never forget. With all of these pleasant memories in back of us, it is with the deepest regret that we bid U. C. H. S. a fond and final farewell. f 0 , Charles Frederick Harlow Myra Joyce Coby Student Council 4 Band l, 2, 3, 4 Office Assistant 4 Girls' Chorus 1, 2, 4 Successus 4 3, Jr. Class Play 3 Librarian 3 Solo-Ensemble 3, 4 Successus 4 Intramural l G.
