op omore ACflU7f7UQS XYe are the class of '45-the largest class now in school. In selecting our subjects. all titty of us are taking the required Eng- lish. Some are pursuing the academic course: some prefer the business course: and others are getting in on the practical side with home economics and shop. Sixteen of us are in the band and orchestra. XYe can also add that the drum major-Bob Turner-is a member of our Sophomore Class. Most of us are taking physical education. The boys play basketball and the girls play Indian kickball, ring tennis, and basketball. bl. C. Lyons, Bob I-luffer, Bob Turner, l'hil XN'hitesel, Roger Dye, Hob Rosenbush, and Gene Bennett are on the basketball squad. NYe feel that our Kittens will go places when they become Wildcats Along with basketball, we must mention that Sophomores -lanet Kantner and jean Frazier are two of the school's cheer leaders, XYe have elected Gene Bennett, l.ois Lantz, and hlanet Kantner to the Student Council. It is evident that we have felt some eilects from the war. Several of our boys are taking on war jobs. NVQ know that we are an up-and-coming class in Union City High School. -Joan Haber Itm.
