JUNIOR CLASS Tramp, tramp, ' 24 is coming. Coming right on to Senior year. Senior officers, and to Senior examples. The Juniors have been first, last and at all times, a loyal class, loyal to themselves, to their Arthur Hill, and to their principles. If 1924, as Juniors, have not adhered strictly to tradition, they find comfort in the final old proverb, the course of love never did run smoothly. Being in a philanthropic mood, one day, we thought of something to do for the benefit of the whole school and the rest of the town. We have arranged for a Lyceum Course for our Senior Year. Amid the peals of laughter from behind the scenes, the Junior stars made their debut in the world of dramatic arts. Besides being gifted in dramatic lines, the Juniors were proficient in creating trembling stage setting, from which even Belasco might obtain a few novel sugges- tions. Now instead of giving the regulation J-Hop which was the expected thing for the Juniors to do, of course, 1924 gave the Junior Fandango (three guesses as to what that is) a la King Tut Style. You see from above our vain endeavors to be different and we hope to shout for 1924. CLASS OFFICERS President Vice President Secretary Treasurer Reginald French Mildred Marks -Jean McDermid Alex Jack JEAN N. McDERMID, Secretary.

HI-Y CLUB The first meeting of the Hi-Y Club was called by Ray Hart, the retiring president, and the following were elected officers for the year: Plans were made for rounding up all possible candidates for the club, and dues were set rather high to assure an appreciative membership. During the year, the club has entertained various groups. Among these were the football team and the orchestra in appreciation of their faithful service to the School. In April the Club sponsored a concert by the Kalamazoo College Glee Club, which was a complete success. A basketball team was organized late in the year and we succeeded in defeating the Sagi- naw Hi-Y team by a score of 50-9. Some of the speakers who addressed the club at our regular bi-monthly luncheons were: Rev. H. W. Fischer, H. D. Spaulding, Mr. T. V. Martin, Mr. Howe, Mr. Humes, Mr. Dersch, Prosecuting Attorney Brucker, Mr. Wallis Craig Smith, besides many regular Club members. Early in the year Mr. Humes was succeeded by Mr. R. N. Ogden as Y. M. C. A. advisor. Mr. Howe, our faculty advisor, has been of great help throughout the year.
