Our very capable Mixed Ensemble sang in the halls of the high school each morning during the week before Christmas, presented programs for the Lemoyne Civic Club and the grade schools of the iointure, and participated in County Chorus. In March, the operetta, The Pirates of Penzance was presented by the choir and was a huge success. The climax to the choir activities of the year was the long-awaited choir banquet. JUNIOR CHCIR The musical contributions of our Junior Choir, composed of eighth and ninth grade students, are indeed worthy of recognition. The choir participated in the annual Christmas program for the P.T.A. and the student body, and in the spring, presented the program, Better Than a Circus, for the public. These young songsters are certainly proving their ability for future membership in the A Cappella Choir. The choirs and student body of West Shore High School wish to express heart- felt appreciation and thanks to Mr. L. P. Williams, director of vocal music. His un- tiring efforts and willingness to help have done much toward maintaining the excel- lent musical record of our school. For this great service, go our thanks to a true mu- sician, conscientious teacher, and good friend.
