BOYS' BASKETBALL Starting this season with an entirely new first team, Coach Norman Friend had the problem of organizing both effective offensive and defensive units. The team had only a fair season because of this inexperience. Comprising the first team were newcomers John Millarcl, Marlin Grimwoocl, Duane Wood, and veterans Bill O'Brien and Don Beale. Bill Slothower and Gary Reeser were frequent substitutes. Howie McFee played the first half of the season but due to an iniury, was forced to sit along the sidelines during the remaining games. NORMAN FRIEND, Coach

W.S. 40 CAMP HILL 70 Don Beale's II points was the best the Troians could do against a much stronger Camp Hill team. The Lions led from the start and were never approached. W.S. 58 NORTHERN JT. 52 The Troians again defeated the Polar Bears, this time on West Shore's floor. Marlin Grimwood took the high scoring honors with 23 points. W.S. 3I SUSQUENITA 50 Playing on the Blackhawk's floor, the Troians ran out of gas in the second half and were easily defeated. W.S. 55 CUMBERLAND VALLEY 58 ln a close game, the Trojans couldn't seem to take advantage of Don Beale's and Gary Reesler's combined 3I points. W.S. 46 BOILING SPRINGS 42 In another close contest, W.S. had some trouble with a team they had beaten easily at the start of the season. Marlin Grimwood was again high scorer with 20 points. W.S. 34 SUSQUEHANNA 46 For the second time this sea- son Susquehanna found the win- ning combination. Marlin Grim- wood's I2 points had little effect on the rampaging Indians. W.S. 54 HUMMELSTOWN 52 ln a close, hard fought game, West Shore came out on top by a narrow 2-point margin. Marlin Grimwood sparked the Troians with I9 points. W.S. 54 ENOLA 38 Revenging their earlier loss to the Panthers, the Troians handed them a 54-38 loss. Good all-around play was sparked by Bill O'Brien's I6 points. W.S. 50 NEW CUMBERLAND 58 Marlin Grimwood's 22 points weren't enough to catch the fast- moving Tigers. A 5-point Troian lead at half time was quickly overcome in the third quarter by New Cumberland.
