Although the team was young, it had a fine season. While the squad lost twice to powerful Amherst it still took second place by swimming a rubber match with Williamsville at the end of the season. This year the team will lose Robert Rebman, Ken Treeby, Frank Boniface, Richard Priebe, and Richard and Donald Ehinger. Well, we certainly did. Our squad came through, taking five and dropping two meets, winhing for us the Southern Erie County Track Title and trophy. Three bays on the squad were outstanding in their own field. These were Don Morgan, who set a new school record for the mile run at five minutes, and Bob Bork and James Schiffhauer, both setting a new record far the pale vault at 9 ft. 6 inches. Everyone on the squad worked hard for the trophy which they rightfully deserve.

Even though this schedule gave us stiff and expert competition, the team came out with six wins, ending the season with an impressive victory over Cleveland Hill.
