Bolstered by many seniors again, the team fought well throughout the entire season under the coaching of Mr. Gregory and lk. Hawkes. Although we were defeated four times, the teams who defeated us found it a hard fight to the final gun. The players showed great spirit all year and coupled with the able assistance of the coaches produced a record to be proud of.

Well, we certainly did. Our squad came through, taking five and dropping two meets, winhing for us the Southern Erie County Track Title and trophy. Three bays on the squad were outstanding in their own field. These were Don Morgan, who set a new school record for the mile run at five minutes, and Bob Bork and James Schiffhauer, both setting a new record far the pale vault at 9 ft. 6 inches. Everyone on the squad worked hard for the trophy which they rightfully deserve.
