Weber, M. DeKay, l. Tolcar. The Discussion Club held its first meeting on November l9, 1952. At this meeting on election of officers was held. They were: Don Doktor - President, Elaine Webb - Vice- Presidentg Betty Dedrick - Secretary, Jerry Chader - Treasurer. This club, under the guidance of Mr. Quinlivan, met the first and third Thursday of every month. ln addition, the group met one night a month with students from three other schools in the Suburban Youth Discussion Group. Some highlights of the club's activities were participation in the High School Forum of the Air, and in the United Nations Model Assembly at State Teacher's College at which we represented Blyo Russia. Rogers, R. Botzenhart, R. Dutchman, J. Morgan. The West Seneca Junior Rifle Club was organized and officiall chartered as an affil- liated member of the tiationul Rifle Associa- tion Washington, D. C., on January l0, l953. The club was formed due to the growing inter- est in rifle shooting as a sport in this area. This year the club arranged to use the Cleveland Hill rifle range for all of its firing activity, but the school is constructing a new rifle range in the basement. It is expected this range will be available next year. With these increased facilities the club will be open for membership of bo s and girls in both theJunior and Senior Hi hgchools. Mr. Wesley R. Scott is the Faculty iponsor. Members of the National Junior Honor So- ciety have decorated bulletin boards in the iunior high wing ofthe school, acted as guides for the parents night tour and the sixth grad- ers' open house, sponsored a dinner party and informal initiation for the pledges, and pre- sented an assembly program for the junior high.
