Metzger and Stewart were back for the dashes, Leatherbarrow for the distance runs, and Don Pearce for pole-vaulting, Krawczyk for weight throwing and Toy and Taylor for the relay teams. Viggata and hr. Welker. There was a definite system used by these men to select the boys who should represent West Seneca in league competition. The intramural bowling activities held each honday served as try-outs for varsity recognition Of all the contestants in the intramurals, those five or six who rolled the highest average scores were chosen to comprise West Senecals varsity bowling team for that one particular week. In order to earn a major letter a member had to participate in at least ten varsity games. Dick Yaw was the only member to have the distinction of receiving a major letter both this year and-last year. -1--Q57---K
