We Remember Him . . 'TF' 3-'iE'5'5' t l t l bm emi b l n Q .gsm Sw ,e e fr. - 'w aQ,,vfwMQ,3 Lyle Kaye loved life and loved people. Because of this he made many friends. As one of those fortunate enough to have been his friend, I will always remember how warmly he wel- comed me to West Seattle. His basic principles of living stemmed quite naturally from his belief in people and his interest in life. He loved good books but was never a bookworm, he loved vigorous sports but was more than an athlete, he never lost sight of the spiritual dimensions of life and this school and all of us in it are better because he worked with us. Cecil F. Bullock. . l shall remember Lyle Kaye all my life. He was a good man, with the kind of goodness that combines patience and strength. But more important to me than his goodness was his ever-questing spirit. His mind was constantly alive to all that was around him, and he tackled the problems of life with a zestfulness that was contagious. As I think of all the reading he did, all the thinking, all the eager conversing with others, I feel a restlessness within me, a dissatisfaction with laziness and mediocrity, and an urge for action. Perhaps this is our great- est tribute: that we want to be like him. Gordon Hannaford.
