VICE-PRINClPAL'S MESSAGE When you discover The traditions of a school, you learn much about the students who go there. For traditions are the values and stand- ards that are accepted year after year until they become part ofthe life blood of an insti- tution. So with us: We believe in friendli- ness, in co-operation, between student and student, and student and Teacher, in self- discipline, in acceptance of responsibility for the common good, in an open search for truth. These are all parts of real Americanism, they are parts of us, they are our Traditions. You will remem- ber the friendliness of pupils and teachers, The courtesy extended To guest speakers, the cooperation of teachers and pupils in solving school problems, the emphasis on scholarship throughout the school, the fun on West Seattle Day, and the many traditional senior activities. Nothing would guarantee the perpetuation and growth of West Seattle traditions as much as your imparting them to others and living them yourselves.
