PUHEWUHII Picturesque beaches, shorelines fringed with groves of madronas cmd cedars -green, wooded islands and, as a backdrop, the Olympic range of snow- capped mountains. These form the setting for the region in which We live -- The Puget Sound Country. But there are sounds and activities We- have learned to associate with Puget Sound. The cry of the sea gulls wheeling in the wake of the ferry boats that ply its waters. The deep-voiced fog horn down at Alki. The sound of ships' bells that come to us across the Water. And there are pleasures, too. The gathering at sunset around a beach tire - those quiet afternoons in summer when We busied ourselves with the hook and bait and waited-swimming-boating-or just that easy lite that goes with hiking.
