December, Christmas carols by the choir at assemblies . . . March, the Accordion Band is a Pow Wow wow . . . May, the Glee Clubs give an opera . . . with Mary Ann Tatham in the lead-a lovely girl with a lovely voice . . . my ' All the year long West Seattle is served by the music department . . . in J Five West Seattle students were chosen this year to play in the All-Northwest high school orchestra . . . they were Ward Cole, Iris Nelson, Jeanette Pugh, Beth Middleton and Louise Long . . . chosen for the chorus were Roberta Carey, Katherine Horrocks, John Church, and Bob Fetterly. Besides being active as a club, the Make-Uppers did all the characters in the casts of Stage Door, the Pow Wow, Opera and Little Theatre shows. Misses Vizio, Babcock, and Donaldson were sponsors. With the aid of new equipment and Mr. Chamberlain, the stage crew proved Very valuable in creating the sets and lighting the stage for West Seattle productions and assemblies.
