Out of this chaos there evolved a capable organ- ization guided in its infancy by Miss IS GREAT SUCCESS Beckham, and with Oscar Collins, president: Alice lVlcCartney, vice-president: Elizabeth Ashford, secretary: and Elizabeth Baker, treasurer. The greatest problem Which assailed them at the out- set was to acquaint the class with school routine and customs. The painful process necessary to solving this problem Was greatly alleviated by the Freshman Erolic in which grammar school loyalty Was linked With high school enthusiasm. Their football squad was also an important factor, developing men for future winning teams.
