Glen Bass, Randy Getter, and Pat Althoff check a tractor for proper maintenance . Using a moisture content tester, David Martin, Keith Loging, and Donald Chris- tianson check ears of corn. Art Nuttelman, Tom Schomberg, and John Hulberg judge outstanding characteristics of a pig. The West Salem Future Farmers of America Chapter, under the dir- ection of Mr. Dale Weber, has been very busy all year. The judging teams have participated on the local and regional levels, as well as the state level. Highlight of the year occurred at the Green Lake conven- tion when the group was recognized as a National Chapter. Two senior students were also commended for their outstanding achievements: Karl Rhyme, for earning the state farmer degree, and Tom Severson, for being selected to the state choir.
