Varsity cheerleader Corky Bergh anticipates another Salem victory. Fourteen Cheerleaders 'H y f 513 -. B-team cheerleaders: Denise Kneifl, Kathy Osgood, Judy Metzger, and Teresa Hass practice for an upcoming game. Absent: Janet Riniker. A -team cheerleaders: Pam Reece, Marilyn Hass, Mary Gullickson, and Nancy Luedtke whip up Homecoming enthusiasm. Spark WS Spirit With a considerable increase in school spirit and student involvement, the cheerleaders, under the direction of Mrs. Marjorie Iasperson, provided leadership in promot- ing school enthusiasm. Selling tickets, planning pep rallies, and painting new signs for the halls and gymnasi- um comprised much of the cheerleaders' activity. A cheerleading clinic at Platteville gave the five A -squad members new ideas and cheers to bring back to the stu- dent body. The additional four wrestling cheerleaders for the first year added encouragement for the wrestling matmen. Wrestling cheerleaders: Marla Brauer, Bonnie Oldenburg Nancy Leicht, and Colleen Schomberg admire their new uniforms. 1

W-Club Promotes Sportsmanship E 7 The W-Club has undergone many changes and improve- ments. Players receive most valuable awards in each sportg members earning ten or more letters will have their varsity lockers engraved. The addition of girls' athletic programs to the athletic department now allows th-em to become involved in the W-Club.
