Future Farmers Go C0-Educational Gary Schomberg shows a heifer while James Gerke and Jerold Houser check its features. A first in the history of the West Salem chapter of the Future Farmers of America occurred this year when seven girls-Debra Kolterman, Sara Mashak, Karen Schwier, Colleen Schomberg, Jeanette Dunlap, Vickie Pettis, and Debra Kibler-acquired membership in the organization. National recognition was received by the local chapter when John Becker won a third place, judging at the Nation al Barrow Show at Austin. In cooperation with the Future Home- makers of America chapter, the F.F.A. and Mr. Dale Weber, their advisor, sponsored a potluck supper for their members and their parents, the Harvest Dance, and the spring and fall style shows. l l Women,s Lib penetrates F.F.A.

Players receive most valuable awards in each sportg members earning ten or more letters will have their varsity lockers engraved. The addition of girls' athletic programs to the athletic department now allows th-em to become involved in the W-Club.
