Autumn Dances H With superstition in the air, the 1967 Homecoming activities began with the introduction of the court, pep rally and bonfire. Parade Marshall William Merwin sparked enthusiasm as Friday the 13th festivities commenced. Although a 6-0 defeat dampened Panther spirit, the dance proved to be a complete success. Music, furnished by the Continental Congress, and dancing climaxed a Superstitious Homecoming. Cheerleaders Jill Semlar and Jeanette Garbers boost Homecoming festivities. i hli ht Festivities An atmosphere of autumn splendor created a festive mood for the 1967 Harvest Dance sponsored by the Future Farmers of America and the Future Homemakers of America. With “Moon River” as the theme. Queen Theresa Hall and King Rodger Schom-berg reigned over the night’s activities. Disc Jockey Stan Reider of WLCX, La Crosse, provided the entertainment. Queen Nancy Zellmer and King Ken Wehrenberg lead the Homecoming Grand March. 26 Princesses Barbara Sahr and Rachel Mulder await the Homecoming parade.

For One Brief Shining Moment - Camelot “Camelot”, the theme of the 1967 Junior Class Prom, symbolized an atmosphere of Medieval Europe. Under the starlit sky, an old English courtyard complete with drawbridge, wishing well, and “Ye Old Pub” lent an aura of enchantment to the colorful setting. More than 125 couples danced to the melodic strains of Tom Lee’s Orchestra. After their 10 p.m. coronation King David Yellick and Queen Anita Tyler reigned over the festivities of a night never to be forgotten. Queen Anita and her court of princesses Suzette Brown, Pamela Rutz, Barbara Sahr, Queen Anita Tyler, Paula Wakefield, and Gloria Wuensch.
