Swetidic QJiiiB A very active and worthwhile club is Forensics. Its main purpose is to train the students to speak with more poise and self-confidence. The officers of the Forensic Club a re President, Mary Lou Anderson; Vice-President, Phyllis Bahr; Secretary, Karla Hemker; and Treasurer, Karen Hemker. The speaking contests are held in the spring of the year. Students may participate in humorous and non-humorous declamations, original oratory, extemporaneous reading and speaking, four minute speaking, and interpretive reading. Students may compete in the Voice of Democracy and the Constitution Contests. Throughout the year the club helps to sponsor such activities as Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day programs.
