Future Farmers Win Awards The Future Farmers of America, or F.F.A., is the national organization of, by, and for boys preparing for agricultural pursuits. Local members, led by N.N.Rowe, their instructor and advisor, have compiled an enviable record. Achievements for 1955-56 included superior honors for meat, livestock, and dairy teams; premiums totaling $1480 at the Wisconsin State Fair, and fourteen championship animals at four fairs. Special activities of the group included sponsorship with the F.H.A. of the annual Christmas Party and Harvest Dance; of an F.F.A. basketball team; of fifteen demonstrations for the advancement of agricultural projects; of a reforestation program; and of the annual one week camping trip.

Council Renders School Service Twelve students, three representatives e-lected by each class for a term of one year, compose the student council. Leading the 1955-1956 council were Clarence Pittenger , president; Bob Shaw, treasurer; and AdreannaStrittmater, secretary. The advisors were R. B. Tremain and Horace H. Moran. As the governing board of the high school student body, the council's activities include management of student elections, setting up the noon hour recreation, and contributing to the support of community projects such as the polio fund drive. Four members from our group attended the State Student Council Convention at Green Bay and the entire organization participated in the Coulee Conference Meet at Melrose this school year.
