Poultney High School handed the Hincheynen their second defeat of the campaign by the score of to 2. This game was marred by loose fielding by both clubs. The second contest with Proctor, was called at the end of six innings because of rain. Tho score at the time was ij. to I4.. A newcomer to tho scene of Southern Vermont baseball, Middletown Springs, cashed in on poor fielding, and poor pitching, as they defeated the Horde, 9 to 1. Centerfielder Gene Y asik exploded with his first two hits of the season, one a single and the other a home run, as the Horde trounced Wallingford, 9 to 0. The pitching of Dick Pecor proved too much for tho Foxes as they were held to four hits, including three singles and one double. Ray Pluta pitched his second one-hitter of the season, as West Side defeated I'iddlebury High School, Ij. to 2, at Hinchey Field. Thi3 war. the Horde's seventh win in eleven game s. League leading Pittsford High School cashed in on three errors as they beat West Side, J to 1, in the second last game of the season. West Side's record now stood at seven wins and four losses. Exploding for six runs in the last two frames, the Hordamen nipped Fair Haven, 6 to 4 to post the eight victory in the final game of the campaign. Six seniors, including B. Czachor, D. Pecor, G. West Rutland High School s Golden Horde finished the 195k baseball season with eight wins, four losses, and one tie, a third place tie in the Marble Valley League for 195 « In the first game of the season, righthander Dick Pecor allowed two hits, two runs, fanned twelve, and walked two as the Horde slammed Ludlow High, 8 to 2. Chester was the Horde s second victim by the score of 11 to The V est Side nine clobbered three opposing pitch ers for twelve hits, including three doubles, and nine singles4 St. Peter’s Field was the scene of the third game of the campaign. Dick Pecor gained his second straight verdict by blanking E. S. J., k to 0 Both pitchers were stingy with hits, Pecor allowing five hits, while the M. S. J, moundsaan y Blded six safety blows. West Side returned home for a game with Proctor, the first of a three game series with that club. Skip Pietryka, sophomore southpaw, gave up nine hits as the Horde battered the Phantoms, II to 2.
