An attractive couple, Irene Marchinkoski, the assistant manager at Fishman’s, and Eddy Johnston, owner of the .largest fern cste-tc in V rmont, arrived next-followed by their two youngsters who wore all decked out in their newest dungarees and cowboy boots, Ireno was slaving to become the manager, but has rlIttie success so far. Eddy was dressed in h3s Boy Scout uniform. He is the chief scout-ma3ter .of the Ira Troop, 263. Myrtha withorn, the famous public speaker, who is now taking over McCarthy’s place in the Senate, came v ith Pop Veccarclla He now holds a permanent job a3 janitor at Joe Bovt »3 Cafeteria in Jest Rutland. Peppy hopes he will soon be able to stand behind tho counter and tell others to lay something on the table besides their elbows. Myrtha has been on a two weeks vrcction after a bitter row with the Marines Corps over extended week-end passes. I noticed Helen Gucrdyak, recently chosen Miss Grapefruit . She’s now married to Jimmy Gallaghor, the Mayor of Levittown, L.I. Helen was running all over the lobby passing out free grapefruits to ell her classmates, » 4 . while Jim was giving a speech on Safety First , to im press all those present to vote for him in tho N ovember election.

As I sat at my table looking mound I noticed a cute couple enter the dining room. It was none other than Johnny Bianchi, v ho was now foreman of Checker ParkmanTs dude, ranch and his wife, the former Anne Osborne, who had become a noted pianist after playing several times at the Chippenhook Grange Hall. In the next group that appeared was Gene Y asik, a professional football player for the Detroit Lion3. Gene had recently won a game sJLnglc-hendcdly against the Cleveland Browns. He escorted Regina Tcavcr the now famous Equestrienne who has been working for the Barnum and Bailey Circus. Regina is also th. owner of a 5,000 acre horse ranch in Southern California. Suddenly, we heard quite a commotion. It sounded like a real argument was in the making. Ken Koczer, a wealthy Texas oil and cattle nan, and Hank Socinski owner of 'the MRock of Ages” granite business and director of Vermont Symphony Orchestra, were exchanging words. The-tv o. were arguing over the oppearencc of five aces in the deck of cords in a friendly little poker game. It was about time to eat and there were several classmates v ho had not yet arrived. Next came a charming couple. It was the former Thcresc Glodzik, a fashion designer for Christian Dior, and in private lif . is the wife of Ralph '7111 lams, a world-famed chemist at an army experimental station in Arizona. Ralph had recently created such an explosion that pcoplo from nearby towns thought it was the Cobalt bomb.. .Also in the prrty was Ray Pluta, owner of IGA stores throughout New England Ray wa3 escorting his newest interest, Judy 'Voner, who i3 an X-Ray technician at Barkley hospital in Palm B» cch, Florida. Bill Czechor, own r of Czachor»s filling station in Center Rutland, came in with Carol Mackemoy, a nurse in Shoo-Shun Flats Hospital in California. It 3 funny that Carol became a nurse everyone expected her to be a pawn broker because of the collection of class rings she used to have in high school. Billy is in the progress of making a new ’'Super-Jet. He»s coming along fine; it should be finished in about another 30 years. Dick Pocor, a famous comedian on the Milton Bcrlc T.V. show, was accompanied by Janice Gilmore who hod just returned home from missionary work in India where her influence helped subdue a native uprising. Dick immediately « , began cracking a fcw of his well-known jokes and was creating quite a hilarious dhow. Shortly after, Shirley Haven, the well-known stock-car driver of the Indianapolis Speedway, arrived. Shirley recently won a. trophy for winning a race in her souped-up
