.) TP ‘ M Jr. ‘J-t It a .?, started one day when thirty-four students representing Vest’Rutland Graded School, St. Stanislaus School, and others from near-by communities vjere awarded elementary di plcmas. Tov.r, we were ready to embark upon our first big step toward a new future. When the first day of high school camu upon us, buzzing was heard throughout the building. Everyone was dressed neat as a pin” in order to make a good impression on everyone. It wasn't very long before the poor, unsuspecting freshmen would enter the building and all the upper classmen would be ready to gang-up on us to do menial tasks and perform embarassing stunts. We would then have to spend an afternoon with' decorations on our faces. At the freshman reception. Gene Wasik made a great im pression on the audience dressed like a lady. Not knowing he was going to be dressed in this costume, his fellow students thought they had a new female member in the class. It was nearing autumn and a 1 1 the students were admiring the beautiful scenery when i.iss liss called the first class meeting. Now it was time when we -'ere to elect our class representatives. Officers who we selected included President, Gene VJasik; Vice-President, Donald Lincoln; Secretary-'Treasur r9 Katharine Davis. There were many activities for the boys. Among them was football. Those who represente' our class on the squad were Ray Pluta, Jack Bianchi, Gene Wasik, and Joseph Vaccarella
