Vnccarella won assignments on the varsity squad. In May, the W.R.H.S. band played at the Manchester Music Festival while the bond nr-d tho Glee Club appeared at the State Music Festival at Burlington and performed in a true professional style. Bill Czpchor, Dick Pecor, Ra' Pluto, Ralph Villiams, Gene Wasik, and Joe Vaccnre1! were picked to be cr the b«sebr‘1l roster for the 195U se sen. On May , the .onicr al , farce-comedy, ’'Damsels in Distress wns given. Members of the cast were Jvdy Jenor, An;c Osborne, Therese Glodzik, Myrtha Witham, Jody tficrrbic’ i and Regina Weaver. Boys wore St«r ? vistoski, Tom Listwnn, '-.'ally Gill, Jim Gnllnfher, Jack Bionchi , and Free Backus. It w s reclaimed as an hilarious success. Miss Bliss w s the eirector of the performance.

SENIOR YE: R On September 8, 1953, twenty nine seniors started dosses for their lost yeor of hirh school. Three weeks after school opened, 01 r class elected as officers president, Stanley Orrech; vice president, Raymond pluta; socretor Helen Guardynk; and treasurer, Bernice Wilk. Those elected to serve on the Donee Committee were Shirley Haven, Judy Wener, Gene Wfisik and Dick Pccor. The faculty selected Jody Wiorzbicki ana Judy -Jener os co-captains, Shirley Haven one ..nno Osborne os regulars, Carol Mockerney as substitute. Football took the sports spotlight in the fall. The Golden Horde played five rnmes anc the cancel n ended with n recorc of three wins, one loss, and one tic for second place tie with Poultney in the Marble Valley I,e c. Gene ,Jasik, ° back ''nc Jim Gallagher, o ruard, were selected to the Marble Valley dl-St r Team. Ray Pluta, on end, and Jack Bionchi, a back were chosen on the second M.V.T.. squad. Other seniors who participated Bill Cracvor and Joe Voccarella. The Second Arrual Christmas concert was held the week before Christmas. Banc members who participated were: Henry Socinski, Judy Wener and Anne Osborne.
