• ' ' t Dina’s expertise makes cropping pictures look easy Kudos to the 1987 Yearbook Staff Undaunted by pressure of deadlines, undefeated in the face of frustrated plans, unflinching in their focus on the task, this year ' s staff strove energetically to produce a yearbook worthy of the class of nineteen eighty-seven With tireless effort, enthusiasm and energy, goal-focused Georgia Thoidis monitored and facilitated the progress of the entire staff and helped find solutions to the variety of problems that sometimes arose unexpectedly Inspired by creative bursts, Arletha designed and laid out most pages in the sports section. Donna Bakas assisted by interviewing the coaches for information she needed to write the sports copy. Dina toiled tirelessly in planning and executing the faculty section with its new departmental format. Dina also designed and laid out most of the activities section with help from Maria Bombas. Lan lost sleep trying to decipher the hand- scrawled profile sheets until Roman came on board to help with the tedious task Lan ' s idea for including photos with each profile was not easily implemented, but she and Roman were determined to make it work Cheryl Owens laid out the entire advertising section herself with help and encouragement from senior class advisor, Ms. Nanos When Laz Michaelidis wasn ' t on a special photo assignment or cloistered in the darkroom doing emergency developing and printing, he cheerfully helped other staff members in a variety of tasks. The typing skills of Deyline Jusino and Nora Wanesberry were very useful to the entire staff. Michael did the research, layouts and copy writing for all of the special features. In addition, he lent his assistance to others as the need arose. Through it all, Michael lent an air of stability and reason He kept his head even when all about him were losing theirs. This quote from Rudyard Kipling refers mainly to the yearbook advisor, Ms. Dwyer who, after all was said and done, had to admit: This was a terrific team and it was great fun working with them Claudette Dwyer Yearbook Advisor Laz printing some last-minute shots.
