Parkway Boston, MA 02132 Westie . . the Pride Shows Through As we the senior class of 1985 now depart, we look back on the school that has been a home to us for four years. We look back i those years sometimes with hap- pit sometimes with sadness, but a ways with pride. We have traveled these four years with ups and downs, triumphs and defeats. Yet through it all the pride shows through. Pride because at this school we have received a decent education and a c hance for a future filled with success. Here we have a chance which now we take into our own lands to shape and rm into what we want to be. With the knowledge we have received we can be sure that we will do well. We can be proud of what we have achieved and along with our teachers hold our heads high with pride as we forge ahead strong and sure to leave our mark on the world. 3 I 4 Headmaster’s Message to the Class of 1985 Donald Pellegrini It is with great pride that I offer you, the Class of 1985, congratulations and best wishes. However, it is important to know that the task that lies ahead of you is a difficult one, and you will encounter many obstacles along the way. The industrial age, as your parents knew it, is all but over and the age of in¬ formation is upon us. We are surrounded by change in the form of high technology, telecommunications, robotics, microelectronics, and on and on. This age of information is bringing, and will continue to bring, more knowledge than out present industrial-age-thinking can handle. The miracle of the microchip has cast us into an unknown region; storing and processing at an incredible rate of speed. As a result, the image of tomor¬ row is difficult to project; and the reality of today is one of immediacy . . . filled with fast cars, fast foods, fast music and fast rewards. We must do more than just get by in the present. We must prepare for the future, otherwise today’s satisfaction may become tomorrow’s frustration. Tomorrow is your today . . . embrace the opportunities of this marvelous age of information; use them creatively and logically, so that tomorrow will fulfill your every dreamHI 6 tf: LtG vcF TH ch i sr«y . ft « • 4 • % • • V 4 A •. ■ • ‘ s ' s„ % Chorus % - V 4j r Tv FACULTY AND STAFF Alicia Barrasso Data Processing Robert Billage Science Portia Byard Guidance Gerald Anderson English Joseph Barrett English Mary Boschetto Aide Edward Carlevale Business Deborah Anderton Special Education Ronald Bayless Special Education Bernice Butler Security Emily Caulfield Special Education Jacob Aronson Language Robert Belt Guidance John Buttner English Thomas Cavanaugh Social Studies 8 Juanita Chappell Special Education Mary Comer Mathematics Leslie Crutchfield Physical Education John Donovan Mathematics Earl Chisholm Business John Conley Social Studies Paul Cummings Dean of Discipline Claudette Dwyer English William Coffey Naval Science Paul Corrigan Language John Day Science Cassie Elliston English Carolyn Cohen Physical Education Garrett Crowley Reading David de Bettencourt Business Leonard Epstein Science 9 John Gear in English and Yearbook David Fuller Special Education John Golner Social Studies William Goode Special Education Roger Harris Assistant Headmaster Daniel Foley Business Robert Gillen Naval Science James Higgins Business Diane Franke Animal Science David Glynn Assistant Headmaster Mary Hamblen Typing Edward Holland Special Education 10 Cheryl Holmes Job Counselor Dianne Hurt Nurse Joseph Kennedy Social Studies Kathleen Lamir Secretary ) Dennis Houle Social Studies and Media Evelyn Jones Art Marie Kennedy Librarian Cheryl Lane Swimming John Howard Vocational Education Daniel Jordan English Alfred Lennon Flexible Campus Frederick Hulme Eutychios Kalogerakis Bilingual Education Robert Kupka Social Studies Susan Lewis Red Housemaster 11 Mary Lynch Aide Richard McDonough Mathematics ■ j ♦ « ’ - H Thomas McNair Physical Education Donna McShane English Ruth Morgan Science Katherine Moss Science William Maher English Edward McKenney Vocational Education Anthony Milano Social Studies Frederick Murphy Guidance Karen McArthur Earth Science Vertelle McMiller Mathematics Judy Molner Aide i Richard Murphy Computer Science 12 Katherine Murman Special Education Robert O ' Donnell Green House Master Rosalie Packard Typing James Richard Swimming Linda Nanos Yellow House Master James O’Keefe Data Processing Susan Patterson Home Economics Joseph Richer Business Edward Oakes Mathematics Kathryne Opton Hearing Impaired John Power English John Rigas Bilingual Education Toula Orphanos Aide Barry Rabinovitch Science 13 Karle Siegfriedt Business Virginia Spinney Special Education Leo Sybertz Physical Education Carolyn Tracy Special Education Ellen White Blue House Master Charles Wright Music Caroline Sansone Special Education Edward Sprissler Career Education Dept.
