All our Freshmen who were on the football squacl this year saw action. The junior high basketball team was composecl mainly of Freshmen. Baseball and traclc were also given a lot of interest from the boys. The girls also clisplayecl their sports ability as members of basketball ancl hoclcey, ancl they spearheaded the junior high cheerleaders. The junior high dances provecl to be a large item on their agencla, since this is the last year the Freshmen can participate in these clances. The stuctent governing hociy of Xvest Reading High School has many pro- jects this year. Qne of them was the sending oi four delegates and an aciviser to the State Student Council Convention at Forty-Fort, Pennsylvania on October 16, 17, and 18. They also sent representatives to the Berks County Conference of Student Councils heict on November 7 at Reading High School. Another project oi Stucienl Council was the selling of plastic hook covers, ciesigneci with the bucking VVest Reaciing Cowboy on the front, to the students.
