GGTHREES A CROWDP ONE-ACT STATE CONTEST PLAY , CAST OF CHARACTERS LEFT T0 RIGHT: Barbara Dyson, Franklin Roberts, Warren Batts, ' Jacqueline Johnson, Asbury McNeer. The one-act play, Three,s A Crowdf' by Sara and Clayton McCarty, pre- sented by the Dramatic Club of West Point High School, took first place in the State Contest for Group III Schools. The play had previously taken Hrst place in the district and regional contests held at West Point and Newport News, respectively. Asbury McNeer, who had the leading role, was judged the best actor in the State contest. Jacqueline Johnson was awarded this honor in the New- port News Contest. The play was rated as superior.
